i think the original way to protect excel sheet or workbook is kind of useless, 'cause one can easily carck the protected sheets and workbooks in a few minutes using downloaded tools from lots of excel forums or other network. So, here is my question, i have an excel workbook, the most important data is caulated by formulas, is there any way that if someone want to carck the workbook, the formulas in that workbook will auto delete itself, then the most important data will not come out.
Hope i can get some tips from here, thank you very much !!!

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Greetings & Welcome!

IMHO,
Assuming this level of protection could be done within Excel (and I don't think it can as Excel does not technically fall into 'secure software' category for the reasons you cite), how exactly would one differentiate between cracking and legitimate usage?

If you're really worried about data being intercepted and decyphered, possibly wrap the file(s) in pgp or some other form of encryption. (and FYI, password protected zip files are more secure but not hyper-secure (though it has gotten very good and is acceptable in many companies across the land), their primary function compression first, then security).
