How to put one diagramm in another one...

i have on big excel chart showing a long period time series.
i would like to put into this one big excel chart now some (already drawn) smaller charts (kind of a loupe). Anyone knows, how this works?

If i copy the small chart (strg + c) and paste it in the big chart (strg + v), the small chart simply replaces the big chart.

Guess i need to fix that in (expensive) photoshop... right?

i found out, one solution is, to simply put the background area color to white and do that in word office...

i guess that wont work in excel!
