how to separate a list Latin surname from Anglo Saxon surnames

Hello
I have a big list in excel and I need to separate the Latin surname from the Anglo Saxon surname. Can anybody give a clue how can I do this.

can you give us a clue what your talking about? Sample data would be a great help.

Sounds like a class project.
It really, really does.
I have a few difficulties with the task instructions, though - what is these things "anglo" and "latin" surnames? What about Irish surnames, for example? And the other related thread said "Hispanic" and not 'latin" - I have a few Argentine relatives that would find this a curious concept.
