How to sum number automatically betwen workbooks?

How can I sum any number automatically, from a column in a spreadsheet to a column in other workbook? Maybe a formula or a VB code?

What sum do you want? From which column? Will the source workbook always be the same workbook?

Have you actually tried doing =SUM on the column in question? If so, what's the problem?

I want to sum the number from a column put in a template named "Order Form" to an other workbook named "Database Order". I need to see for every order I do how many time a picece was ordered.
I hope that now is more clear. Anyway, Take a look to the image please.

The "code number" is "Identity" number; and the "quantity" change every time I do an Order (for a customer).

The thing that I need is to sum automatically the quantity of every piece , in an other workbook ("Database Order"), every time I wright an order.
