Hi there,

Using Excel 2007.

<b></b><table cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";background-color: #FFFFFF;border: 1px solid;border-collapse: collapse; border-color: #A6AAB6"><colgroup><col width="25px" style="background-color: #E0E0F0" /><col /><col /><col /></colgroup><thead><tr style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;text-align: center;color: #161120"><th></th><th>D</th><th>E</th><th>F</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">1</td><td style="font-weight: bold;text-align: center;;">Cepro Code</td><td style="font-weight: bold;text-align: center;;">Ordered</td><td style="font-weight: bold;text-align: center;;">Received</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">2</td><td style="text-align: right;;">200710105</td><td style="text-align: right;;">20</td><td style="text-align: right;;">20</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">3</td><td style="text-align: right;;">200711014</td><td style="text-align: right;;"></td><td style="text-align: right;;">2</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">4</td><td style="text-align: right;;">200711012</td><td style="text-align: right;;"></td><td style="text-align: right;;">2</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">5</td><td style="text-align: right;;">200711013</td><td style="text-align: right;;"></td><td style="text-align: right;;">2</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">6</td><td style="text-align: right;;">200710004</td><td style="text-align: right;;"></td><td style="text-align: right;;">1</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">7</td><td style="text-align: right;;">200710105</td><td style="text-align: right;;"></td><td style="text-align: right;;">25</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">8</td><td style="text-align: right;;">200710121</td><td style="text-align: right;;"></td><td style="text-align: right;;">1</td></tr></tbody></table><p style="width:9em;font-weight:bold;margin:0;padding:0.2em 0.6em 0.2em 0.5em;border: 1px solid #A6AAB6;border-top:none;text-align: center;background-color: #E0E0F0;color: #161120">Orders Received</p><br /><br /><table width="85%" cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";border: 2px solid black;border-collapse:collapse;padding: 0.4em;background-color: #FFFFFF" ><tr><td style="padding:6px" ><b></table><br />

In column D I have various codes. These are often repeated, depending on when orders arrive.

In column F I have the values of the orders received for each code.

How do I add up how much I have received per code? i.e. find every instance of a code and add up all the items recived for it.

Example. I should get 45 for code 200710105 etc.

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Thanks for that. It works.

The only problem is that, as I get more orders in for that code, the pivot table does not automatically update to reflect this, so I would have to manually re-create the pivot table every day to check my total stock.

Any ideas as to how I can overcome this?

Thanks,

raghavender, that also works AND it makes it easier for me to copy the formula down to accommodate all the different codes without my having to type them in. Thanks for that.

I had already tried sumif but clearly was doing something wrong as it was returning an error. You've certainly made my day that much easier.

Thanks again everyone :)
