can someone tell me how you can hyperlink a number or text in a specific cell from a workbook to appear in a specific cell in a different work book.
thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
If you mean like if you have Workbook.xlsx and Workbook2.xlsx and you want the value from cell A1 of Workbook1 to show up in cell B5 of Workbook2 follow these steps.

Have both Workbook1 and Workbook2 open.
On Workbook2 in cell B5, push the =
then switch to Workbook1 and click in cell A1. You should get the dotted lines around it.
Push enter

Is that what you wanted to do?

It only works in the same book, it does not work in two different workbooks. I tried it and it does not work.
