I know this is lame but can someone help

All I want to do is set two conditional formats in cell N10. T

he first colours the cell yellow if the value in it is greater than in cell B10

The second colours the cell red if the value in it is less than in cell B10

I then need to copy these two conditions down the rest of column N so that for cell N11 it is comparing it to B11, N12 to B12 etc

Im dumb and cant do it!

Help!

Hi

1.Select cell N10 and then extend this selection down as far as you need ie to cell N1000 etc
2. Go Format>Conditional Formatting
3. Change to Formula Is
4. In the formula box type: =$N10>$B10 and format as Yellow
5. Add another conditiona and use formula: =$N10<$B10 and format as Red
6. Click OK

That should work - post back if it doesn't.

Richard

Edit: amended the formula to actually work! Thanks OaD!

Hello,

Select N10 to N (something)

select FORMAT --> CONDITIONAL FORMATTING

change cell value is to FOMRULA IS and enter

=N10<B10

add another CONDITION

change cell value is to FOMRULA IS and enter

=N10>B10
