Hi guys/ladies,
I am new in this forum(mrexcel.com), while i am doing my small research using google, i accidentally came into this forum & find out that this forum should me able to guide through this small problem.
Excel Problem :
1st ) Import a list of file names from a certain folder
**Done
2nd) Because the file name was named in such way,
("mmdd-filename-etc-etc")
So I have to seperate those name into each cell using delimiter "-".
**Done but not a standard code, it is a computer generated code
using record macro
3rd) Sort those file name according to month, as in put those file name
into a newly created worksheet("month"). If the worksheets does not
exist It got to create a new worksheet. Else when it exists, the excel
just need to sort in the record according to the file months into the
excel worksheet for it's month.
And when the file name record is put onto a new worksheet("mm"),
the file name record in the old worksheet will be deleted
As i am a newbie to excel and therefore basically i am not strong in excel, i hope that the guys/ladies in this forum are willing to help me for the 3rd question.
Thanks
Regards,
Peter
