I need to hide few random columns in sheet2 using VBA by doing some activities in sheet1

If I click on a checkbox in sheet 1, colums BA , BN and BW should be hidden in the sheet2. I tried the below steps but it is throwing error.
Worksheets("Life and Disability Census").Columns("BA:BA,BN:BN,BW:BW").Hidden

Could you please help how to hide some random coulmns in excel sheet using VBA.

Worksheets("Life and Disability Census").Range("BA1,BN1,BW1").EntireColumn.Hidden = True
