I type in =function(cell#) and then nothing happens, after it just worked! ><

Thanks, guys you helped me with my problems, but I notice when I enter in a function in the form =function() the vb program no longer runs! It's so strange, because I have a cell right next to it with the same input that is running. And, I can paste that cell into other cells and it'll work fine. But when I enter in the same formula again manually, it stays as =function() display!! WHY!?! ?
