"If" & "And" formula question

This is in my ind what the formula should look like but it doesn't work. How do a write it?

If ((B488=False)and(if(B487=False),C486,C488)

What do you mean by false? The actual word "False," or is it a formula that returns False?

Try this...

=IF(AND(B488="False",B487="False"),C486,C488)

=IF(AND(B488=FALSE,B487=FALSE),C486,C488)

or

=IF(AND(B488="FALSE",B487="FALSE"),C486,C488)

I think you could also do it by checking for the existence of TRUE:

=IF(OR(B487:B488),C488,C486)
