hello,

please can some more excel knowledge than i , send to the formula so only if cell a1 & b1 are not blank, then insert 1 into c1.

I tried to do this myself, but even when a1 or b1 is /both blank, it still puts a 1 into c1

thank you in advance

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
How about
Excel Formula:
=if(and(a1<>"",b1<>""),1,"")

I know I am late to this thread, but here is a formula I came up with...
Excel Formula:
=LEFT(1,COUNTA(A1:B1)>1)
This version would also work...
Excel Formula:
=LEFT(1,(a1<>"")*(b1<>""))
As would this version...
Excel Formula:
=LEFT(1,LEN(A1)*LEN(B1))
