Hi,
I've got a large dataset and I would like to create a formula that finds if a cell contains a specific string, but only copies what comes immediately after the string (no spaces) and nothing after that (stops when it hits a space). Then it would copy everything underneath the cell up to the point where a cell containg the specific string is reached again and paste all the information to another column/worksheet.
So for example,
train sub carxxxx-animal-farm moose
dog
cat
pig
monkey
horse
cowxxxx
Each line is a separate row.
if the string is xxxx, the output should be:
animal-farm
dog
cat
pig
monkey
horse
Where animal-farm is one cell and there's a cell directly underneath containing dog cat pig monkey horse
Does anyone know if this is possible?
Thanks,
Cail
