Hi there,

I've got a bit of a tricky one (well I think it is anyway).

I've got a spreadsheet that looks like the following:

A B C D E Formula in this Col
1.2 1.5 1.8 2.4 3.6
3.5 5.8 2.1 3.5 4.5

I want a formula that will look at the values and return the top line value for the highest value. In this case the answer for the first row of data would be E because 3.6 is the highest and the answer for the second row would be B because 5.8 is the highest value.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Row

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
Thanks so much for this. What if i've now chnaged so instead of an A B C D E classification, it's giving a 1 3 5 7 10 classification?

Sorry to be a pain,
