I am looking to see if I can use a formula to state Yes or No if part of a cell is greater than or equal to a certain value. The code in the cell reads something like this in A1:
20 C FD
In B1 I want it to say "Yes" if the value of the first two characters is greater than 15. I used a formula like this thinking it would work:
It did not however, and I believe it is because it converts it to text maybe? I had tried 14 C FD as a test and it said Yes which is wrong.
Is there a way around this to make it work so that 15 or higher would be Yes and below 15 would be No?

Excel Formula:
=IF(LEFT(A1,2)>=15,"Yes","No")
