Hi
I need some assistance with the IF function.
In cell B3, I can select an "O" or a "C" and into cell B6, B7 & B8 are printed on some fixed values.
When I choose "O" in cell B3, the three values has to be visible and hidden when I choose "C"
Can I get help with the formula

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Hi Web,

In B6, B7 and B8 put the following formula:

=IF(B3="O","","your_fixed_value")

Change "your_fixed_value" in each cell to the fixed value you want for each cell. If it's numeric values, leave off the quotation marks.

you could use conditional format --- highlight B6:B8 and use conditional format / formula
Code:
=$B$3="C"
then format font to white

Thanks for your answer. I have excel2003
But i can not get it to work. in the fixed value cells there is values which i put in and there can therefore not be a formula.
The best result for me is when my values in cells B6 to B8 will go to zero when B3 is "C" and appears again when B3 is "O" because B6 to B8 is a part of a bigger calculation / result
