I use this formula to give a more detailed match between two different spreadsheets. For some reason, when the data doesn't match instead of the formula saying "NO" its saying #N/A...should I incorporate the IFERROR function?

=IF(INDEX(Sheet1!A:A,MATCH('Temp ANF'!A2,Sheet1!C:C,0))='Temp ANF'!A2,"NO","YES")

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
.should I incorporate the IFERROR function?
It is right.

MATCH('Temp ANF'!A2,Sheet1!C:C,0)
But I don't understand your formula.
You look for A2 in sheet1 column C:C

INDEX(Sheet1!A:A,
If it finds it, then with Index you get the data from column A

='Temp ANF'!A2
But then you compare that result also with the A2 value, is that correct?

You could put an example of your data, what you are looking for and what you want in the result.

Thanks for the response. Basically, I wanted when the formula doenst match the data in the first condition, "NO", I want it to compute "NO" instead of "#N/A". I hope that makes sense.

=IF(INDEX(Sheet1!A:A,MATCH('Temp ANF'!A2,Sheet1!C:C,0))='Temp ANF'!A2,"NO","YES")
