The formula below can produce two results. I need a third. If M17_R17 is greater than R17 the result should be 1.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

Thanks

=IF(OR((M17+R17)=N17,(M17+R17)<N17),0,-1)<o:p></o:p>

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.

In its posted form Excel will not accept that as a formula.

If you make it syntactically correct, then the possible results are either M17+R17 or FALSE.

So, if you want to add another condition which of the conditions should take precedence? M17+R17=N17 or M17-R17 is greater than R17 ?

In the following formula when (M17+R17)<N17 it should produce -1. It produces 0.<N17 b 0.< a It -1. should produces produce it>
<N17 b 0.< a producing is It -1. be should><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>

=IF(AND((M17+R17)<>N17,(M17+R17)>=N17),1,IF(OR((M17+R17)=N17,(M17+R17)<N17),0,-1)) <o:p></o:p>
