Hi all,

I have 2 calculated columns in my power pivot, one with revenue in local currency and the other in USD. I then use a dax formula to sum up the values (and conduct further calculations). However, i want to include a slicer which then allows the user of the pivot table to be able to select either local or USD - is this possible?? Many thanks,

Dan

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Yes. Create a linked table called currency that contains 2 columns, 2 rows

id currency
1 Local
2 USD

write a measure
selected currency = min(currency[id])

assuming you have these measures already - > [total local] and [total USD]

then write this measure
display total:=switch([selected currency],1,[total local],2,[total USD])

add a slicer from currency[currency] to your pivot
add [display total] as your measure in the pivot

click the slicer and watch the pivot update.
