# If statement - return blank

#### Alphazulu

##### Board Regular
I am using the following formula to indicate pass or fale in cell D4 if C4 is greater or equal to 1.

=IF(C4<=1, "Pass","Fail")

I'd like to update the formula to leace Cell D4 blank if no value is entered in C4. Currently the result is Pass.

Any ideas?

### Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Try

=IF(C4="","",IF(C4<=1,"Pass","Fail"))

adding another if statement will do it;

=IF(C4="","",IF(C4<=1,"Pass","Fail"))
