If statement with vlookup

I have an if statement in which I need to include a vlookup that looks at a separate worksheet. I was just curious if I should place the vlookup as far down the if statement as possible or as soon as possible, or if it really doesn't matter to the efficiency of the statement.

It all depends on your end goal.

An If statement will exit as soon as it hits a True.

So if you had =IF(F10=1,"good",IF(F10=2,"bad","nothing"))

and F10 equals 1 then the returned answer is good then the formula exit's
