Hi I'm trying to create a commision statement for my employees.

I need to pay all employees that sell between 150 and 185 1%. Employees that sell over 185 would get 2%.

I need a formula not VBa.

Thanks,

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
Tell you what - can you provide some sales figures (eg 200, 100, 160 etc) and also what commission ($$$) you expect to result from this.

In what way, exactly, does my suggestion not work ? I'm pretty sure it will return 2% when you say you want 2%, 1% when you say you want 1%, and so on (of course you'll have to format the cell as %).

Or do you actually (as Richard suggested earlier) want to calculate 1% of something. If so, what ?

Comission

Hi what I am trying to do is calculate the commission on sales.

IE if you sell $0-149 your commission is 0.00
if you sell 150-184 your commission is 1% of total sales = 1.50 -1.84
or if you sell 185 or greater you would get 2% which is $1.85 and up

Comission

I will give this a try.

Thanks for the help. The web is a great thing. Brings us all together and make the world seem like a better place.

Better than the feeling you get stuck in rush hour traffic.
