How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
You have a few options:
Select Case
or
If Statement

An example of an IF statement
Sub MACRO()
Dim cell As Range
Cells.EntireRow.Hidden = False
Range("A1:A" & [a65536].End(xlUp).Row).Select
For Each cell In Selection
If Left(cell.Text, 1) = "1" Then MsgBox ("C")
Next cell
End Sub
