could i set up something like this?:

IF a row contains a certain value, THEN highlight the row.

or

IF a row does not contain a certain value, THEN hide it.

Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.

Conditional formatting for the first part, macro for the second. Others may have different suggestions

So if you have row 1,2,3,4,5 and the value you want is not in row 3 are you want to be left with row 1,2,4,5: or do you just want the contents of Row 3 hidden in that scenario? for example, if you have a white background with black text and the values not in Row 3, turn that rows text white......is that what you mean? if so then Conditional Formatting would work for both

i wish i could post an attachment on here to show you the spreadsheet ...

i look at one column and i want all the rows that have a certain value or greater in that column to be marked.
then i look at another column: i want all the rows that have certain values in the column to be marked.
then i look at a third column: i want all the rows that have a certain value in that column to be marked.

in the end, i want all the rows that i marked to be shown.
