IF() without else

In the IF(logical_test,value_if_true,value_if_false),
I sometimes wish I could omit the 3rd argument.
In other words, not to touch the cell, leaving it blank.

Is there a trick for doing this?

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
just place a null identifier there.

e.g. =if(a1=1,"ok","") this will leave a blank if a1 is not equal to 1.
