I have tried both of the following formulas with keeps returning the wrong result. The formula tests column 8 thru 14 against value in C1. If one of the values is > C1 it should return C1 value. If all 7 values are less than C1, then Column 14 value should be returned, else "" leave the cell blank.
When there are no values in columns 8 through 14, it should return a blank cell however the formula returns C1.
Why does it return C1 instead of a blank?
How is it fixed?
=IFS([@8]>$C$1,$C$1,[@9]>$C$1,$C$1,[@10]>$C$1,$C$1,[@11]>$C$1,$C$1,[@12]>$C$1,$C$1,[@13]>$C$1,$C$1,[@14]>$C$1,$C$1,[@14]<$C$1,[@14],[@14]="","")

=IF(OR([@8]>$C$1,[@9]>$C$1,[@10]>$C$1,[@11]>$C$1,[@12]>$C$1,[@13]>$C$1,[@14]>$C$1),$C$1,IF([@14]<$C$1,[@14],""))

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
See if this works
Excel Formula:
=IF(COUNT([[@8]:[@14]])=0,"",IF(COUNTIF([[@8]:[@14]],">"&C1),C1,[@14]))
