hello hoping someone can help me out....
in column "N" i have 100 product descriptions and in column "M" i gave them all a number 1-100. in column "L" the user puts the number that matches the product description from the list. i am needing to do in laymans terms now.... IF L2 = # find matching # in column M then and report the value that resides one cell to the right or offset 0,1.. i hope this is clearly stated... any help would be greatly appreciated...

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Sounds to me like a simple VLOOKUP will work.

=VLOOKUP(L2, M1:N100,2,0)
