Import multi header text files?

Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.
It may be possible to write a routine in VBA to import the file treating the header lines appropriately, or even preprocess the text file to flatten the headers and/or remove unnecessary ones prior to import.

If you can post an example of what you're trying to achieve - the original text file and the resulting Excel worksheet - it would be easier to assess which approach might be best.

One problem...I will be dealing with multiple sources (multiple clients) so need a flexible, dynamic solution.

Have found one other solution that fits the bill. The import wizard for Caseware IDEA, it allows for masks, multi line, multi header

But £3k price tag!
