I am simply trying to import an access 2007 to excel 2007.

I start with linking a excel worksheet to access. That is my raw data. I then create a query. I pull in all the fields. I put very simple criteria in. For example under a name field I put Like "G*" to get all rows with people whose name starts with G. Simple. Then I go into a new excel file and I click through get data from access. I go through the wizard and I press ok.

Only the field headings pull in. Not the data the query yields. (The query runs fine in access and yields many results).

I've played with this for a long time and have had no success. What I did discover is, when I take out all criteria the query pulls in. But that doesnt help me because it is just pulling in the original raw data. I've tried grouping the data. I've tried creating a second dummy query with no criteria that pulls in the results of the first query. Ive had no luck. I can't find a single other person with this problem. I feel like I'm going crazy. I've imported queries plenty in the past from access 2007 to excel 2003. But now I'm at a loss.

Please help!!!
