Importing External Data problem. Random blank cells.

Currently I use this method of importing data from 1 workbook to update a worksheet in another workbook and it works fine. However there are cells dotted about in the worksheet that has been updated from the other workbook that are blank even though the cell in the original workbook contains data. I have checked the cell formatting and everything is on general at both the source and destination so I can't understand why certain cells are not updating and remain blank.

Can anyone explain this and what I need to resolve this issue?

Thank you very much.

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
I believe I found the answer,

In a Database you cannot mix data types, a column must be all numbers or all text.
If there are different data types in the column ADO will copy only the Data type that have the majority.
This code is working in Excel 2000-2003

Does anyone know a way around this?
