I am doing some research that involves importing data sets collected by an external instrument that can only be stored as .txt files. They are always stored in the same folder and importing them with the correct formatting is extremely repetitive and can be tedious. Is there a way for Excel 2016 to find the file name in the folder and import it? One data source is delimited and the other is not so I would love to know how to do it both ways!

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
What you are asking for is basically determining the name of a file located in a specific folder, based on the most recent date & time stamp of all files in that folder. Am I right?

... if that's a part of your request, then you may be able to do something with the code I posted over here ...
