Looking to import one Excel file into another - daily.

The receiving file contains Names (col A) and Labor Hours in (col B-H.) No employee works more than 5 days - so B-H contains many blanks cells.

Looking to import one XLS file into another. The imported file would automatically populate that day's hours column - for the corresponding employee name. The imported file does not contain all the names contained in the receiving file each day . . .

Can someone point me in the right direction so I can figure this out on my own - as much as possible.

Using Excel 2010 - but files are 97-2003 format.

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Wow, did I word the above incorrectly!

I didn't need need to import a file - simply copy and paste into the current worksheet.

then

=IFERROR(VLOOKUP($C9,A$6:B$32,2,FALSE),"")
