Hello,
I am wanting to index and match with multiple criteria.
I have three column on 2 spreadsheets.

I want to index and match if the product descriptions are the same. If true retrieve the information that is in column 1 of the last spreadsheet.

I can do the index and match bit, but feel I need to add an If statment in and possible make it an array formula.
Could somebody help please I've been trying for 2 days!!!!

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
You say that you want to match multiple criteria but only list description as one of them.

This is the formula I have so far, I think it's very close:

=IF(INDEX('[Final Stock Write Down.xlsx]Jul11 SKUs with Provision'!$C$1:$C$8268,MATCH(C1:C8461,'[Final Stock Write Down.xlsx]Jul11 SKUs with Provision'!$D$1:$D$8268,0),1),'[Final Stock Write Down.xlsx]Jul11 SKUs with Provision'!$A$2,"nothing")

But it's not working :eeek:

Sorry, I don't understand the

Code:
MATCH(C1:C8461

Do your products start in C1 and do you copy the formula down to C8461?

Code:
=IF(ISNA(INDEX('[Final Stock Write Down.xlsx]Jul11 SKUs with Provision'!$C$1:$C$8268,MATCH(C1,'[Final Stock Write Down.xlsx]Jul11 SKUs with Provision'!$D$1:$D$8268,0))),"nothing", INDEX('[Final Stock Write Down.xlsx]Jul11 SKUs with Provision'!$C$1:$C$8268,MATCH(C1,'[Final Stock Write Down.xlsx]Jul11 SKUs with Provision'!$D$1:$D$8268,0)))

The MATCH(c1:C8461 is the spreadsheet I am trying to pull the information onto and yes it's the list of products I am checking against to see if last months appear on this months.

I have tried your equation and it only returns the false situation

Also what does the INSA mean?

Thanks for your help so far, I am very close I feel jsut need this tweeking a bit
