Hey guys,

I was just wondering why this formula gives me the correct result only when I type in the values from the first rows(F3 and E3). On any other values it gives me this error - #REF!

=INDEX(G3:G8,MATCH(B1,F3:F8,0),MATCH(B2,E3:E8,0))

Any ideas?

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Is your index right?

it is only 5 cells, usually its a block of cells for 2 matches

I was just testing..with one it works perfectly. But with two matches it doesn't. I think the amount of the index does't matter..
