I am using a PivotTable with 2 fields within the Rerport Filter.
1st field is the employee position (4 positions)
2nd field is the employee name (more than 50 names, around 12 per each position)
The idea is that when I choose a position (i.e. secretary), only names of the secretaries would be available in the Employee Name selection. Instead I see there all the 50 names and need to scroll through them to find the correct one. After selecting the correct name, the report is presented for that employee only.
If I was building the report myself I would use the Indirect function within Data Validation to make the drop down menu dependent on the first choice. I was certain the Pivot Table would do it by itself.
Any suggestions how to get the PivotTable to limit the second field to selections dependant on the first field.
Thanks
