Hello,

I have an Excel VBA script that connects to our Oracle database. The code to make this connection looks like this:

VBA Code:
With ActiveSheet.ListObjects.Add(SourceType:=0, Source:= _
        "OLEDB;Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle;Password= ....
...
End With

It works great when I run it; however, when a coworker attempts to run this, he is seeing this error when the code above tries to make the connection:

Does anyone know what he might be missing on his end that is causing this error?

Thank you!

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Does he have the Oracle client tools installed?

I can check with him.

Looking at mine, I have something called Oracle Instant Client 19.14.0.0 64Bit installed.

Is that the same as Oracle Client Tools? If so, I'll see if he has that too.

Thanks!

There are lots of different versions of the client tools. From memory you have to have one of them installed to connect to Oracle using code.
