Hello...

I need a simple Marco please.

I have a worksheet full of duplicate entries. In most cases the "duplicate" is only over two rows, but occasionally 3.

Where the identifyer cahnges I need a blank row inserted.

e.g.

TN123456A
TN123456A
TN434343A
TN343434A
TY323232A
TY323232A

Needs to look like

TN123456A
TN123456A

TN434343A
TN343434A

TY323232A
TY323232A

i.e. broken up with a new (blank) row.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Try this:

Code:
Sub splitting()

Lastrow = Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row

    For x = Lastrow To 1 Step -1
        If x <> 1 Then
            If Range("A" & x).Value <> Range("A" & x).Offset(-1).Value Then
                Rows(x).Insert Shift:=xlDown
            End If
        End If
    Next

End Sub
