I've a spreadsheet with data where the number of rows changes on a regular basis. This currently means that I have to amend a couple of table ranges on a regular basis. Is it possible to have these formula update automatically when the spreadsheet is opened?

=OFFSET(Data!$A$1,0,0,COUNTA(Data!$A$1:$A$100),COUNTA(Data!$1:$1))

also

=OFFSET(Data!$A$2,0,0,COUNTA(Data!$A$2:$A$100),COUNTA(Data!$1:$1))

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
What's the problem with the definitions you have? ( apart from the fact that the second one appears to be counting 1 too many columns )

I keep having to manually adjust this part A$1:$A$100

Currently, its looking at the first 100 rows, tomorrow it could 98 or 53500

I was hoping to find away to have the range adjust automatically.

If you make it 65536 you'll never have to change it again.
