I need to insert the current week number into a cell when I press a macro button (unless there is another way). I need to also enter a number into the cell as well as enter it automatically. So I will have the choice, press the button to enter the current week number or manually type the number in.

When I press the button I want it to change 'F5' to the current week number. I also manually change 'F5'. So for example I want to look at week 1 so I type week 1. Later I want to look at the current week. When i press the button week 2 should appear in F5 overwriting what I manually typed, Would this not work? Im sure it worked fine yesterday. thanks.

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
It will and should continue to do exactly what you are wanting.
Please answer my questions of post #9.

When you right click the button - Assign macro is the Macro still assigned?

It's fixed. I'm embarrassed. I must have moved the cell, it is now E5 instead of F5, Duuurrr

No worries, Excel leaves me permanently red-faced.
