Hi All

I am somewhat at a loss  I have tried looking for an answer to my question in various place to no avail, and so I wonder if anyone can help?

I would like to know how to insert characters in a specific place within the existing number/text of a cell.

for instance if I had a column of numbers or text how could I insert a number or character after the 3rd number/letter of the existing number/text in each cell?

Hi
Is this what you require
If your original is in A1
stuff to add in B1
then put in C1 =LEFT(A1,3)&B1&RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-3)
