Inserting column problem

Hi,

I am trying to insert a column before column A and when I do this the blank column does not appear and the field goes into column B.

It happens with every sheet in this workbook.

I have tried it on another workbook and it works fine.

I'm confused.

Such a simple thing but it is frustrating me.

Excel Facts

Quick Sum
Select a range of cells. The total appears in bottom right of Excel screen. Right-click total to add Max, Min, Count, Average.
