Internet and Excel Exponential download problem

I daily download a file from a client’s web site, one of the fields that I download is read into Excel as numbers, and when this number is very large the number appears in Excel as Exponential. Example
When this ID is downloaded it appears like this “6.00107E+11” <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
When I click on it actually is “600107421338”
But if I save this without converting it as above it is saved as is “600107000000”

When I try and read this number it last few digits of the number appear as “0”, I know they are not, because if I open the file as read and read and convert these numbers to text then click on the field they appear as numbers and full numbers.

Any idea, how I can get round this.

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
After downloading the data try formatting the cells with numbers in them as Number with no decimal places instead of General.
