Interrupt or Pause a running macro then restart

Hi,

I'd like to kick off a macro that runs on a timer to collect data at time intervals, but would like to pause the macro to let me play with the data/save it etc, then resume.

How do I break into macro to do this? Can I make another macro buttonto do it?
