hi gaiz!

I can't seem to find a way of managing this myself. I have two columns, the one has the department names and the other one has the kinds of employees in it. how do i count the kinds of employees per department? thanks in advance! :)

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
You can't use whole column references. Try

=SUMPRODUCT(--(B1:B100="Asset recovery group"),--(F1:F100="contractual"))
