I use:

appactivate ("windowtitle")

to set focus to a particular window by its titile name

is it possible to deactivate / close a window by a similar method

something like:

appDEactivate ("windowtitle")

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Is this actually an Excel question?

Well could you expand more on what you mean.

Why are you using AppActivate in the first place?

What 'App' are you activating?

What 'App' do you want to deactivate?
