Is there away to create a broken bar graph in Excel? My data is so vastly different that I want the lower part of the graph to reasonably show the lower values on the graph and then break the graph and then a different scale at the top for the higher values?

This isn't real helpful:

Excel Facts

Bring active cell back into view
Start at A1 and select to A9999 while writing a formula, you can't see A1 anymore. Press Ctrl+Backspace to bring active cell into view.
For skewed data, try log-scale. Click on the y-axis -> Logarithmic scale.

That's interesting, except that although that might be correct, the H value there doesn't visually look like anywhere around 20,000

It's not meant to be 20,000. The log scale transforms data, bringing the larger values closer to the other values.

For example:
100,000 = 10^5 so log(100,000) = 5
100 = 10^2 so log(100) = 2.

Instead of plotting 100 vs. 100,000, it's visually better to plot 2 and 5.

I'll work on it tomorrow. But that's the easiest thing I've seen. The only thing I would change to that procedure is not return 0 if it isn't the MAX I would return NA so it doesn't plot those points at all.

Microsoft really should create a way to do this without workarounds though.

Agreed.
