I'm sort of new to excel formulas so this might be a simple solution, or not even possible

I have a value in A1, when a value is entered into D1 i want (D1-A1) to be displayed in R1. When a value is entered into F1, I want R1 to display (F1-A1) omitting the previous D1 entry, and so on down the row.. is this possible?

Thanks for any assistance

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
Thanks, hope to learn a lot here.

The formula you gave me did work, but is it possible to skip cells as well instead of including all of B1:Q1? If that is possible i would like it to skip, E,G,I,J,K,M, and O which display separate data

Thanks for your help!
