=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("EEPW14",Sheet18!A:A)),"YES", "NO")

Been trying to get this to work with no luck

its supposed to return YES into the cell if column a contains EEPW14 in any of part the cells
and no if it doesnt

any help appreciated

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Assuming you are looking to see if any cell in Column A has that text somewhere in it, then try this formula instead (it should be more efficient)...

=IF(COUNTIF(A:A,"*EEPW14*"),"YES","NO")
