Keep Value in Cell with no Formula?

Hi,

Say I got a value in excel using a simple formula (ie. =.15*B2). Is there any way to make this data still display in the cell but not as a formula, just as the answer. So say my cell displays 15 (from formula in previous example (=.15*B2, assuming B2 is 100). I need the cell (or copy to another cell) to display 15 without being linked to any formula.

Is this possible?

Thanks,
Chacho

Hi,

From you question I understand that you don't want others to see the formula, right ? If so, right click on the cell > Format cells > Protection - select Hidden and click OK. This will be hidden only if the sheet is protected.

Nope, I wanted to keep the data in a cell without it being dependent on a formula. I figured it out - just copied and did a "Paste Special" as value only. This way I could upload the data to a website.

Thanks though!
