can anyone tell me what the !L1 in this formula does?
the L1 cell is empty ??

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.

N1 contains the sheet name and L1 is the cell on that sheet. If L1 is empty or zero, the result will be Sat 00

The exclamation mark separates the sheet name from the cell reference in the usual way.
